Turning Tides
Providing culturally safe, trauma-informed assessment, therapy, and consultation across northern, remote and underserved communities.
Turning the Tides.
Approach
From living and working in remote and rural communities, we’ve felt the need for accessible, sustainable and ethical mental health services first hand. As racialized and queer psychologists with lived experience of the mental health system, trauma-and-violence informed and culturally safe practice is essential to our clinical work.
With over a decade of experience providing therapy, we’ve found that applied forms of mental health services designed to build on existing community strengths and resources move us closer towards social change than therapy alone. This may include advocacy, consultation + program development, psychological assessments, clinical consultation + supervision, training + education, and community-based research, in addition to therapy and counselling services.
