For psychological, behavioral and emotional concerns, and potential mental health diagnoses related to mood (e.g., depression, bipolar and anxiety), personality (e.g., borderline, antisocial), post-traumatic stress (e.g., complex/PTSD), psychosis (e.g., schizophrenia), substance use, and others.

Forensic risk.

Forensic risk assessments are only necessary when there is involvement with the justice system. These estimate a client’s risk of re-offending either sexually or violently and identify targets for treatment to decrease their risk of re-offending. Typically are court-ordered or requested by a lawyer. We use a trauma-and-violence informed framework in all assessments, and especially in forensic assessments

These assessments are typically requested by a lawyer for clients seeking immigration or refugee claims in the nation-state of Canada. They consider hardships experienced in country of origin and in the client’s journey, potential of harm should they return, and the psychological impact.
